Her journal is bound by leather and embellished with ornate markings. It opens only when in the presence of her specific rune pattern, however her brother has been known to trick it into unlocking for him as well.

I have been in the compound for near a month now. But I have not touched this old journal. It is mostly because I have been busy. In rare moments of free time, I occupy myself with further research on my profession. There are so many articles to be read. Especially now a days. Humans attempting to pick apart the mythical psyche... kha! I laugh at them all. What they fail to notice is that their minds are the inferior and not our own...
I now have the opportunity to write about this place.
I have made a friend or two here. Though I did worry I might not when I first learned of Атанас е [Atanas's] want to visit this place. He intended to work for our "freedom" by working with Cambria Morningstar... I have been doing most of the work myself. We are members of The Circle, but I recieve no special treatment from this woman. She is an interesting subject. I wish to evaluate her.
There is Warren Howard. He is a friend of mine. I have been assisting him in a time of difficult that is hopefully lifting. His fledgling, Karou Morgan, is also a friend, though Cambria keeps her very close. It is unknown whether she is a puppet or not. But she does have a mind of her own. This indicates she is not another robot. There is also Ibram Lhhune. He is a nosey man. He wants to know things he has no need to know. They do not concern him, but he is not bad for conversation.
I will try to write more now that I have a position in this place.
Perhaps some incidents will be worth reccording.

RUNIC RESEARCH FOR POSSIBLE REMOVAL OF KAROU MORGAN'S RUNES.
Notes.
-Thought to be "hamsas" - runes used for the user to see through another person to observe actions.
-Put in place by Cambria Morningstar. Motives?
-Too intricate to be hamsas. Linked to other sensory perceptions?
-Hurt when put in contact with heat -- burn, ache. Bleeding occurs minimally.
-Black. Orange in light.
-Binding rune? Forced submission rune? Limiting rune?
-Moderately difficult to remove but can be done by Atanas and myself. May cause pain but will leave no scarring.
-Warren eager to have them removed. Healthy sign of caring/attachment. Improvement on disorder?

I am going to send a letter back home today. I have not spoken to баща [father] since we left Велико Търново, and would like to know what is happening back there. How is the family "business" going? How is the mythical community faring in my country? In a place with so much folklore, I expect the discovery of my species to be more well recieved than in the states.
I must speak to Cambria Morningstar today.
I am afraid that Ibram Lhhune may be too interested in the afairs of The Circle. She might trust him, but others will not be pleased to know that she has let him in on some potentially valuable information. He behaves insulted or upset when I inform him his curiosity in the circle's affairs are not to become of his knowledge. It is not my fault that he is sticking his nose in places that it does not belong. Ibram Lhhune (difficult last name) may be a street-smart man with physical/aggressive ability, but his social skills are terrible in a way that is opposite Warren's. While my friend is detatched and uninvolved in many things other than what he cares most about, Ibram Lhhune tries to become involved in too MANY things. This, surely, is not very good for the personality...
His mind might be nice to pick apart.

Much has been happening. But it has happened all at once. After a period in which absolutely nothing of interest occured, everything exploded in a matter of hours. Warren Howard is in a panic over something that has happened in BlueAsh, Cambria suspects something has gone wrong (Or very right, in her mind) due to his and Karou's sudden departure to the problem in Russia, and now there is talk that The Circle will be meeting soon.
I met Warren and his fledgling outside the main office yesterday afternoon to find out that Ellis VaRosa is with child. I am not aware if her husband is a pureblood or sired vampiric, but I will guess by the way Warren seemed to be in a frenzy, that the child is not thought to be her husband's. Who it really is is a mystery to me, and when I did ask about the subject, he would not give me the answer. I have done some thinking and have come to one possible conclusion to this matter. If what I suspect is true, and comes to the light, a certain member of The Circle comes forward and asks for a favor to be repaid... The outcome will not be good. My conclusion is based off of what I know about the Davikov, which is not very much, admitedly, but is also based off what I picked up the one time I was granted permission into Warren Howard's fledgling's dream. The images there were frightening and told of many difficulties on the horizon.
I have considered following my friend and his fledgling to Russia, not to spy for my fellow Circle members, but to gain insight for my own knowledge, and provide assistance to my friend there. I will consider this further and make my desicion tonight. I may stay to keep an eye on Morningstar, see if she's picked up on anything. I do hope, for the sake of everyone, that Karou's vision and my conclusion are proved to be incorrect. If they are correct, Ellis VaRosa should not be allowed to have this child. And if she does not take care of the matter, then the loss of her life will be the benefit of hundreds.

Out of boredom and per-request of Morningstar, I have traveled across the globe to BlueAsh, where Warren Howard and Karou still reside. I have missed my friends since they left for their business. Not something I expected, as I tend to thrive best when left alone or in the company of only a few people. The few people I was left with were not the best of company. My brother is also very busy with his own work, as I am with mine, and so we stay out of each other's hair for the most part.
I am in Russia and it is not very pleasant weather-wise here. I do not like the snow and do not own very many warm articles of clothing. It is irritating and makes my skin red around my runes. It is like a much colder, beachless version of my home. The only good thing about it is that the castle is very pleasant and quite a lot of fun to explore. Immediately upon my arrival I was escorted to Warren's home within the castle, which is much different from the one he stays in in the compound. A lot less modern, a lot more rustic. It was interesting to observe him in his "natural habitat". He was noticably less moody and displayed appropriate emotional responses to certain circumstances. This environment improves his condition, it appears. This is a good thing for him, I do believe this break from the compound and his more stressful work will only benefit him. I would advise him to stay longer if I knew there was not work to be done back in Montana. He and Karou have repaired their relationship, which also seems to have benefited Warren, though I do wish to observe what he will behave like now that he is viewing his fledgling through both new and old eyes. There is some concern for Roman's view of the girl. That alarms Warren, but is also good to see as it is also an appropriate emotional response.
I do believe they intend on returning to the compound this week. I will be returning tonight or tomorrow. There is much work that needs to be sorted through. I have also been asked to re-analyze Cambria Morningstar's psyche, which will prove to be both terrifying and very fun. I am hoping to make an interesting discovery or two during this endeavor, or that work will not be worth it.

I have begun a study on Warren Howard.
It was mentioned that I might do one in the common room Saturday afternoon, but I did not think he would take the speaking of it seriously. I had mentioned it to be joking at first, but it seems both our interest has been caught in the idea of doing it. A contract was drawn up and I am to keep him anon if I decide to publish my results, and change details of anyone else mentioned in its writing up. He is Subject X in the notes I take. I have had two interview sessions with him and have decided the best approach to understanding his disorder is a longitudinal case study. I will observe him in his natural day to day activities and watch how he handles not being able to connect to people.
Here are my notes and theories thus far:
-Subject X had a difficult relationship with his father. Lack of paternal relationship in life.
-Claims father was uspet at having a freak (other mythical) for a mother, a son (himelf) like that, and a brother of homosexual orientation.
-Father turned to alcoholic tendancies -> Lead to the murder of his mother, whom subject X was very close to.
-Subject X's brother was also murdered.
-Three very important familial relationships missing in life. Leads to an inability to process new relationships. Developmental problems in adolescence transcended into adulthood. See Erickson's theory for moral development?
-Lack of paternal relationship and removal of maternal and sibling relationships leads to future fear that something might be ripped away?
-Subject X describes two more important relationships in life.
-Relationship with ex-fiancee. Met as an adolescent. Relationship ended by force due to siring.
-> Regrets infidelity. (Normal) Confused when forgiven after admitting to it.
->Another relationship taken away by outside force. Unable to find constant stability a factor?
-Subject X's "mistress?" -> Wishes he'd never met.
-Connection to the three forms of love. Mother (unconditional), Finacee (friendly, familiar), mistress (lustful).
-Trying to seek something that might fufill all these holes?
-How does this relate to present day relationships?
-Speaking of present day relationships; connection to fledgling -> Subject X disturbed by absescence of fledgling.
-Relationship with fledgling a little possesive, but discretely so?
-Normal vampiric sire-fledgling behavior (according to researches, see sources attatched), obvious romantic tendancies. How does this relationship fill in the gaps?
-Speaking to fledgling alone -> Unable to get very good results from. Quieter, shyer personality. Mind is guarded.
-Learned protective behavior. Not obtained from Subject X; confirmed. Issues in past? Confirmed.
-Parental; Confirmed.
My research will continue and I will continue to answer my questions and fill in my notes.

In another session of free speech, Subject X quickly chose his topic: Fledgling. Adolescent-Young Adult/Female.
Approx. Time knowing: Year and some months?
-Subject X met fledgling when fledgling was approx. 17 years old.
-First impressions based on physical attraction. Natural male response.
-Fascination with scent's origin. Focus on eyes, appearance overall.
-Talks about relationship in pivotal moments.
-1. Bringing of fledgling into compound.
-Anger -> Concern for how she came to be there. Attention paid to physical state.
-2. Siring.
-Desire to have posession over. Not wanting any other vampirics to acquire fledgling.
-Possible onset of siring instinct before actual turning? Brought fledgling into home, etc.
-3. Stages of physical contact.
-"Teaching"
-Kissing, feeding, etc. Gradual progression. Subject X feels held back by "logic".
-Not able to act on instinct unless thirsty? Primal? Typical for vampirics?
-4. Negative moments.
-Subject X visibly upset when speaking of rougher times. Reaches toward fledgling more, feels need to be closer to.
-Aggression, infidelity.

I have called the study off.
It has become more troublesome than academic, and that is reason enough to end it. It has brought unforeseen dramas to the lives of my friends. I do not want to create a break in friendships, so I will end my study, even if it is an annoyance to the subject. The subject was concerned I was more aware of his fledgling's feelings than his. This is why I choose to keep my patients separate from my friendships. I am friends with both the subject and his fledgling, but the fledgling is also a "work concern" of mine, so I must take certain steps to ensure this balance is kept.
For now, Warren is angered, but that will soon pass. He can wallow in his annoyance all he likes, but when he ships his fledgling off to BlueAsh, I gather he will come running back to me when he has nobody else to talk to and trust within this place.
Morningstar has begun to ask questions. She wants the Morgan sisters within her ability to contact. Apparently things are stirring within the Circle and this has brought some concern to her. We will see how this all unfolds, but I must hold Warren, Karou, and Margra at a distance now. I might be able to talk Morningstar out of some things, but I can't beat her in physical melee (as I found out last night) and I will not risk my friends being hurt because of her wants. I have asked Easton to drop hints on the matter, so that they are not too confused with my change in behavior. I do hope he will follow through.
