Post  Reakon Wed Nov 07, 2012 3:33 am

Just finished up the first draft of the character bio. Need to do history, but I feel that will take a few days so I am going to go ahead and post this up. If you notice any spelling or other type of error, please let me know and I will fix it as soon as I can.

On the side of caution I fully admit, Reakon seems a bit on the powerful side, but as this is a non-combat rp, I don't think this will become even close to an issue. Also seeing how he tries to avoid fighting at all costs.

Either way, let me know what you think, looking forward to getting other opinions.

[OOC INFORMATION]
Habbo Username: Dr.Volker
Real Life Name : Drew (19 years of age)
Time Zone: Central, United States

[IC INFORMATION]

-Basic Information-

Full Name [Including any titles]:
Reakon Velkren Bloodfang
Lord of Bloodfang Keep
Keeper of the Mountain / Keeper of the Swamp
Lord of Red / Lord of Black
Many other various titles he has gained over the years, but none important to this plane.

Meaning of Name:
Reakon's first name holds little symbolic meaning, on this plane or any other. His middle name is homage to the founder of his family and his keep. Bloodfang is the name his family adopted during the founding of their Dynasty, sharing the name with the keep itself.

Nickname(s):
Just as he has many titles, he too has quite a lot of nicknames. Gained over his years of travel, they vary from plane to plane and people to people. A general theme of his nicknames includes “Savior”, “Hero”, “Protector” and the like. He remembers every singly name given to him, and the occasion for which he got it, but does not actively tell others of them. He normally hides who and what he is from others, only sharing that part of himself to those who have earned his trust.

Date of Birth:
Reakon's date of birth would mean little on this plane of existence, as his home plane had a different measurement of years. It was quite similar to earth's though, but with different names.
He was born on the 13th of Bloodmoon (April), in the year 1400.
It is said the eve of his birth the moon shone a dark, bloody red. This happened only once previously in history, exactly 1400 years prior, the eve Bloodfang Keep and the family for which it was named were founded. This is also how the month got it's name.
He has not aged a day since his ascension, which occurred when he was 28 years old. He still looks that age to this day, even though nearly 11,000 years have passed since.

Place of Birth:
Reakon was born in the study at Bloodfang Keep, a castle that knew no equal on its home plane and few within the multiverse.

Species:
Reakon is a human, at least somewhat. It is debatable if he could be called “human” any longer, but he has the appearance of one all the same.

Reakon is a type of being known as a “Planeswalker”, a powerful mage who is able to travel across the planes of existence.
To become a planeswalker, one must be born with a very rare and very powerful innate ability, known as the “planeswalker spark”. Only one in a million sentient beings across all planes are given this “spark”, and even then they must “ascend”, which normally occurs at some time of great stress or importance. This ascension, along with the extraordinary amount of power at their disposal, eventually leads most planeswalkers into madness and insanity over time. In an attempt to prevent this, most are tutored by an older, more experienced planeswalker. It is very dangerous to go through becoming one alone, but it is possible.

A planeswalker has complete control over their physical appearance, and does not need to eat, drink, sleep or even breathe (although most do these things to help preserve their sanity). Planeswalkers a very difficult to kill and can't die of natural causes, (such as being stabbed, or even dismembered). This is due to the fact that the Planeswalker's spark that is present within their brain is the source of their power. While the brain still exists, a planeswalker still has the ability to traverse the many planes, can regenerate and shapeshift at will, and can stay alive for millennia upon millennia—and, of course, perform magical activity.

Accent:
Reakon has learned over the years a way to adapt his speech patterns to fit in wherever he is. When speaking freely he has a slight old-english/latin accent.

-Physical Appearance-
Reakon - Planeswalker ReakonPicture

General Appearance:
Reakon appears to be a fair-looking human with rather defined facial features.

Height & Body Type:
Reakon stands just over 6' tall, yet his presence tends to make him seem much larger (larger than life, as it were).
His body is always kept in good physical shape, able to use strength much higher than what it appears he should be able to.
His natural weight is just around 185 lb, as his body is well built yet not overly so.

Eye Color:
Reakon's eyes shine a deep, dark, blood red. They appear to be warm, smooth and inviting when Reakon is being friendly, but the second he switches to a aggressive tone and presence, his eyes seem cold, dark and deadly.

Hair Color & Style:
Reakon's hair is a natural clear, almost snow-like white. He always appears well groomed and well kept. In style he likes to keep it relatively short, as depicted in the picture, and really hates it to go any longer.

Skin Tone:
Reakon's skin seems to be a bit on the pale side, but in a non-sickly way. It may be a lighter shade than most, but it is just as lively and healthy as any other.

Scars:
Reakon has gained many scars over his travels, but using the power gifted to him by virtue of being a planeswalker, he has chosen to hide most from normal view. His ability to change the way he looks has seen little use, outside of this.

Type of Dresser:
Reakon has always liked to be well dressed at all times. He is typically dressed in the way pictured. In his armour Velmir, with a cloak around his back. He tends to like clothing that is black or red in color.

Tattoos & Piercings:
Reakon does not have any tattoos or peircings on his normal form.

Physical Disabilities:
Reakon, as with most planeswalkers, is the example of Physical perfection, at least to a species level. He has no known or obvious disabilities, at least physical ones.

Other (Wings, ears, etc):
Reakon has a trait passed down the Bloodfang family for as long as records go. The first male born into the main family has always been born with large canine teeth. It is not known why this is, or how it is even possible, but it is none the less. Reakon has been confused for a vampire many a time in his travels due to these teeth, his pail skin and white hair, but any close examination would show he is a living being (or as close to living as planeswalkers can be considered).

-Psychology-

Mental State:
Reakon's mental state could be described as unstable. While he is well-articulated and lucid, the immense strain his powers put on his mind is slowly driving him insane (a trait all planeswalkers share). It has been 11,000 years since his start, and he is holding up quite well. He has yet to see a older planeswalker than him (he is the currently oldest living planeswalker, although he is not certain of this fact himself). Every so often he goes through a period of inconsolable grief and retreats away from all others until it subsides.

Mental Disabilities:
Besides the slow drive towards madness and insanity, along with his bouts of depression, he has no mental disorders/disabilities.

Self Image:
If Reakon had to put his self image into words he would describe it as the “Repenting Crusader”. This is caused by him have been unable to save his home plane when he first ignited his spark. Since then he has always blamed himself for being unable to save all he knew and loved and so has been trying to save all he can. He does believe he has done good in his and would not second think to call out anyone who questions his record. Deep down though he knows he will always be repentant for his failure, no matter how much he wants to forgive himself.

Over-All Personality:
Reakon's personality can be boiled down to a few simple words: Honour and Loyalty. He has tried hard to always live his life by those ideals, and it shows in every aspect of his personality. He always acts with honor, showing kindness to a bitter enemy up until the moment it is no longer possible. He will always be what others call loyal, as he will always answer the call from someone he has declared his friendship to, no matter the risk or the cost. Overall he appears to be a kind person, unless you cross him or threaten something he cares about, then he becomes a very dark figure. One that will stop at nothing to protect that he cares about.

Defining Trait:
His sense of honour and duty. He will stop at nothing to protect that he believes needs protection.

Fears & Weaknesses:
Reakons only fear is not being able to protect what he cares for, and that is also his one weakness. Others have used this against him in the past, so far none have lived to tell the tale about it. Currently he has no formal attachments, so he is weakness free for the moment. If someone were to find out about his past failure to save his home plane, they may be able to use that against him as well, to possibly trigger a mental breakdown.

Sexuality:
Reakon is straight, even though he currently does not feel any romantic attachment to any living being.

Thoughts on Relationships (Both Platonic and Romantic):
Due to the fact he is nearly immortal, Reakon tries to not form close bonds with others. He knows the moment he meets someone that he will out live them, and if he is attached, he will have to live with that loss. He has broken this rule a few times in his life so far, and each time has ended with pain. This has not soured his outlook on friendship, love or relationships in any form though. While he may not openly admit it, even it himself, he secretly wishes to find comradery and love again. It may even be the only thing keeping him going.

-Self Interests & The What Not-

Occupation:
Planeswalker, Guardian, Traveler, Lord of Bloodfang Keep.

Past Occupations:
Lord of Bloodfang Keep.

Talents:
Reakons biggest and most often used talent is his sheer ability in magic, at least the planeswalker form of magic. His mind is able to bend the rules and laws of reality to his will, should he want it. Doing so for long periods, or spells of immense power put a lot of stress on the mind though, and need to be used with caution. Besides this he is also quite the gifted swordsmen, even though he rarely has a chance to draw his blade, Velmir.

Hobbies/Past-Times:
Reakon has picked up quite a few different and varied hobbies in his many years of travel. Most of them would seem very outlandish, as they were developed on different planes that has visited. Before he ignited his spark he used to enjoy reading many a book in his castle's library. He has hinted at the love for weapon and armor smithing, yet no one alive has ever seen him pick of a smith's hammer.

General Likes:
Reakon likes many things, but among the highest rated on his list would be: Learning new things in his travels, communicating with new and different peoples/civilizations and exchanging ideas and culture with them and seeing the innocence in ones who have never had to wield a weapon to protect their life. He is also quite fond of taking a relaxing afternoon off to enjoy the sunset and a bag of sweet rolls.

General Dislikes:
Reakon dislikes few things. Cowardice, Dishonour, Betrayal, Abuse of power. The act of doing any single one of these things could cause one to become a enemy of Reakon, and Reakon has no enemies. At least none alive.

-Background-

Mother: Sisala Bloodfang (Deceased)

Father: Valderon Bloodfang (Deceased)

Relationship with Parents:
Reakon had a healthy and happy relationship with is parents. He loved them and they him. He was all they wanted in a son, a strong, smart capable heir to the family, who also happened to be kind and loved by the common folk. They were looking forward to the days of spending their old age relaxing in comfort while their son raised the kingdom to even greater hights.

Siblings:
Reakon was born a single child.

Ethnic Heritage:
Pure blood of the “First Men”. A prized heritage among the nobility of his home plane.

Education:
Reakon received a noble's education on his home plane, including all subjects one could think possible. He was very gifted in academics, so much so that his teachers quickly found themselves outpaced. Beyond his spark's ignition he continued to educate himself, taking every chance to study new concepts and cultures as he came across them in his travels. He is rumored to know just about everything one can known among the planeswalkers.

Languages Spoken:
Reakon speaks many many languages, most likely too many to count. His native tongue is shockingly similar to english, but with various difference in terms and dialect. Even before igniting his spark he had a gift for languages and mastered just about everyone he was subjected to, but after it just snowballed from there. He found himself learning just about every language he came across in his travels.

Religious Beliefs:
Reakon's view on religion is a very informed and diverse one. He believes there can be divine powers, in fact he has come across and met a few himself. In some cultures he is thought of as a god, for his powers closely resemble those of legend. He has studied thousands upon thousands of religions across many planes and cultures. He has found most tend to boil down into the same thing, which he is not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Theme Song:

-Abilities/Powers/Possessions-
Planeswalker's Spark: The source of Reakon's magic and most of his power. This ability gives him mastery of not only magic, but reality itself. Able to bend and shape the laws of reality, time and even existence, his power is very strong, but not without cost. As with all planeswalkers, this is slowly driving him unto madness, though he seems to be able to keep sane much better than others of his kind. As he is much, much older than any current planeswalker, and he is among the most sane.

Various Magic: Due to his spark, Reakon is a master of many forms of magic. The two he is most well versed in are ones that draw off Red and Black mana (the power source of all planeswalking magic). These spells tend to deal with quick, massive damage spells, the draining/restoring of life and energy and the disabling of ones opponent.

Summoning: Another gift of his spark, Reakon is able to summon various creatures from other planes. While a planewalker has the ability to summon any creature they can imagine, Reakon tends to use the same few summons time and time again. They have slowly, over time, built up personalities of their own, making them into sentient beings in their own right, but they still head his call.

Galik (Summon): Galik is a Vampire Blood Chief. Head of his own coven, one of great power in its own right. He started his unlife as nothing more than a thought in Reakon's mind, resembled after a vampire that Reakon fought in one of his many adventures. He has been with Reakon since just after his spark ignited, and as such, is probably his closest friend. He stands roughly 7' tall, well built and handsome featured. He shares the same pure-white hair of Reakon (which he still wonders if Reakon added that bit because he wanted him to resemble himself, or if the vampire he is based on really had white hair). In combat he wields a pair of double-bladed swords. Known together as the “Blades of the Blood Chief”, these weapons are artifacts in their own right. The story of how he acquired these, with the help of Reakon, is a story for another day. He also possesses quite a ability in sangromancy (blood magic), but prefers to wield his prized blades to defeat foes.

Falkrim (Summon): Falkrim is an Great Wyrm Dragon. A true monster for the legends. Despite his scary, and often terror-envoking appearance, he is quite the kind being. He, like Reakon, values life and does his best to defend it, and anything he wishes to, at all times. Falkrim has been with Reakon for almost as long as Galik, and the three are quite close. Just as with Galik, Falkrim started out as nothing more than a thought within Reakon's mind, nothing more than a wyrmling, barely 3 feet in length. Today he is roughly 100 feet in length, outsizing most other dragons. His scales are black and red, a odd colorization, but one he “pulls off” in his own words. In combat he uses his claws and fangs alongside a breath of black flame, able to melt most to nothing more than slag. He prefers to avoid combat at all costs, but when needed will not stop until he deems the threat is no more. He does have a humanoid form he can assume, but the only other living being that has seen it is Reakon, not even Galik as gazed upon it, and even while Galik has questioned Reakon many a time about what he looks like, Reakon has yet to tell him.

Velmir (Object): Velmir is an intelligent sword and suit of armor (it seems the intelligence is one for both), found by Reakon during one of his most trying episodes. Reakon was alone, standing against an army of the most foul beasts one could imagine. His mind was on the verge of tearing itself apart from the constant use of his abilities. He could have just “walked” away to a different plane, but he was standing in defence of a people who could not protect themselves. Reakon thought his story was at an end, when he heard a voice call out to him. “Wield me. Use my strength. Call my name” a voice said in his breaking mind. It could have been nothing, after all his mind was on the verge of self inflicted collapse, but Reakon did as the voice said and shouted as loud as he could manage “Velmir!”, it was as if he knew the voice as an old friend already. The sword and armor instantly appeared on his person, filling him with strength. He used their power to cut down every foe in his way. Little is known about why Velmir called out to him that day, and even less about its origins and why it was there when it was, but it is known is has proved itself to be a loyal companion to Reakon time and time again. No other has been able to wear the suit, or wield the blade. Velmir's powers are still mostly unknown, even to Reakon himself. It is known the sword is one without equal, able to cut into foes deemed invulnerable to all. The armor is also a relic of power, as it as been able to stop many a attack from even causing Reakon to flinch. Velmir has shown the ability to change shape and size depending on Reakon's current need. It normally rests in the state pictured, but when Reakon uses his ability to morph his body Velmir has the ability to change alongside him to fit his new form (in both style and function). Velmir rarely speaks, but when it does so, it speaks to Reakon and Reakon only.
Reakon - Planeswalker ReakonPic-3standingwithswordatside-
Velmir is better depicted in this picture than the previous one.

Bloodfang Keep (Location): While Reakon's home plane was destroyed, he was able to save some of it. Well at location, and he honestly is not sure if he really saved it, or it is just a recreation from his memories, but it is the same either way. This castle is one of Gothic style architecture and one of no equal. Its walls able to withstand an assault from any known force, only to repel it upon the attacker. It is unknown how this building was constructed, or if it has simply been around since the beginning of the plane on which is hails. Currently Bloodfang Keep exists within a “pocket plane” of sorts that Reakon has been able to create with his powers. In this plane there is only the castle, plus surrounding wild lands. The Wolf's wood (a forest of darkly coloured trees), the Great Snake (a river than runs blood-red) and a series of mountains known collectively as Dragon's peak. The sky forever in darkness, lit only by the bright, full moon. Beyond these lands there is nothing but a thick wall of fog, walking to which causes the doer to instantly appear at a random location walking out of the wall of fog somewhere in the plane. Reakon knows very little about this plane, only that it was created by his mind the second his spark ignited. During his periods of sorrow, he comes to this castle to cut himself off from all others. Inside it appears to be a well kept and well stocked castle, yet nobody in sight. Outside one can hear the howl of wolves, and other creatures of the night, which seem to be this planes only natural inhabitants, aside from Reakon.
Reakon - Planeswalker ReakonPic-2standingbycastlewithsword

-History-
I will be working on Reakon's history over the next few days. Expect the story of his growing up and igniting of his spark, and a general overview of his travels since. Perhaps ending with his coming to this plane of reality and deciding to stay for now.

Reakon - Planeswalker Empty Just Checking In

Post  RiteOfSpring Wed Nov 07, 2012 11:14 am

Hey Drew,
I just wanted to say that I've read through most of your biography, and from what I can see, it's the exact amount of detail that Jake and I like to see in terms of character development and foundation for an interesting character. I really can't wait to get scening with you and really like how carefully planned this biography is.

Now, I just need to point out a couple of things:

1. On the subject of your character being so difficult to kill and nearly impossible to injure, I think you might want to consider altering this slightly. In the rules of the RP, we try to be fair by stating that each character is able to be injured or killed in some way. I'm glad you understand that this isn't a combat-based RP so this probably won't actually become an issue, but in the case that it does, it might become a little unfair if your character can only be killed in one very specific way. A suggestion to you might be to consider making him able to be injured a little more easily -- maybe he has an Achilles heel in more than just one place (the brain)? It's really up to you how you do it, but I don't believe it'd be very fair to make him THIS powerful in terms of defense.

2. When most members wish to create a species that is more along the lines of "custom", we try to make it fair by opening up the species to more than just one member. However, we're willing to make a species exclusive (Other species examples include: Psionic vampires, angels, and Hell Hound) if we believe it should be. This is the case with the Planeswalkers. By exclusive, what I mean is that any time someone is interested in being the species, they must complete a certain set of requirements:
-Be a member of the RP regularly for more than a week.
-Proove to be responsible enough to actually use the character's species correctly.
-Recieve approval from Jake and myself in terms of being the character.
Because you've obviously spent so much time on this species, I'm also willing (Haven't spoken to Jake yet. I'd like him to reply with this thoughts on this thread at all) to have this clearance go through you, meaning you'd also have to give consent for a person to RP as this species.

If you have any other comments, please let me know on here or on Habbo itself.

Again, great bio and I'm looking forward to scening with you!

I am glad you found it to your liking. I spend a good amount of time yesterday/last night typing it up. For some reason it all just fell into place, I guess I really have been waiting for a long time to play this character, haha.

Ah, I see what you mean. I guess I should have been a bit more clear. It isn't that hard to rip a planeswalker to shreds, but as long as you don't rip up the brain as well, they can regenerate. For the actual rp and rp death, I did actually think of what I think would be a good way to handle things. If I "die" in character in the rp, instead of the 30 min wait time being my death wait, it could be my regeneration wait. That may not make sense, what I'm basically trying to say is: People can still "kill" me just as they could kill a human (well, one with my characters level of magic/power anyway) and when they do I spend the 30 min wait time "regenerating" instead of just being "dead". Unless they happen to kill off the brain as well, then I would truly be dead.

I very much appreciate that you're willing to let me also have a say in who can be a planeswalker and I will take you up on that, should I be able to.
For the sake of honesty and openness though, I must inform you, I did not make the planeswalker concept myself. It has been around for a good period of time, I only changed it slightly and put it into terms that would fit this rp. I don't wish to take credit for other people's ideas, nor do I want to say I did't add or do anything myself. Basically all except the part explaining what a planeswalker was, are my creation. Excuse the rambling, but I like to be open/honest.

Thanks again for the compliment, and I look forward as well to many a great scene with you!

I hope so as well, my friend. I honestly think we will, from what I've read in your character's bio. As to the stories, I have a mind that is good with coming up with random stories, so I honestly think I got that covered, haha. Anyway, same to you, looking forward to many scenes!

About to post a template you can fill out under the species section for the Planeswalkers. Once that's all set, I can post it there so it's official. Smile
